$50 Robot Sensor issues

Video accompanying society of robots forum post. Here is the original text of the post: Hello folks: So, I have posted several times as my son and I have completed our $50 Robot. We have solved soldering problems, voltage regulator problems, servo modifications issues, and a few others. Thanks to all of the help on this forum, we now have a working robot... almost. He (it) works. It drives along and does react to light on the sensors, which does change the direction of the wheels. So technically from my understanding of what he is supposed to do, it is working. However, we need sensor adjustment of some kind, because the robot just drives forward indefinitely unless I put my hand over a sensor to completely cover it. And even then this is not always fool-proof. I took a video to show you guys. Then it dawned on me to try more light instead of less light. So I shot a second video and this time used a flashlight. If I shine the flashlight on the sensor, the robot changes direction. Cool. This is progress. So now I was wondering, how do we change the sensitivity of the sensor input so that we get the same results without a flashlight? Is there something we can do in the code? Thanks very much.

1984 BMW R65 (known as Airhead, Boxer, or Twin). Was garaged by previous owners for the last 10 years. My son and I brought it back to life after many hours of cleaning, fluid replacement and some parts. Makes a great daily city rider. Small road trips of about 200 miles are fun too. The only non-stock parts are an aftermarket high output voltage regulator and the rear Progressive suspension.

controlling a LCD display DMF5005NY-LY with T6963C onboard controller using very simple ATmega8 test board. Whole assembly includes few elements more like 7805 voltage regulator, 12MHz oscillator, ISP plug and some microswitches for simple interface. Program written in C (AVRGCC) is based on materials and sample codes founded on web. Now developing display software capabilities:)

Part of 'Building a Solar Charge Controller' at www.256.co.uk. The final packaging phase requires that the controller is weatherproof, in fact waterproof, but still lets light from the LED out. The circuit board has been encapsulated in clear heat shrink sleeving and sealed with hot glue.

Arduino RGB Colour Fader

One of the first test projects I built with my Arduino. The LEDs come on a flexible 5m roll and can be stuck to anything you want. [In the video I've put masking tape over them since they're really bright.] The Arduino is powered by an external power adapter delivering 12V, which is reduced to 5V by the internal voltage regulator. The LEDs are switched using high power NPN transistors via PWM. The display is a 4-line standard LCD from RS Components using a 4-bit parallel interface and the LiquidCrystal library.

Come visit the website: www.h2o2fromh2o.oregonsouth.com Update Original Release The idea is to control the Voltage within the Cell. Using the internal resistance of the cell it self. From my research on neutral plates, it will only have to make minor adjustments to each cell, mostly on the outer most cells. The Zener Diode really represents the placement of a regulator, but is the simplest of the regulators. A Zener will still have to handle some current. Not sure how much. Maybe more then what Zeners are currently made to handle.

This is a video of an LED Lamp Modulator circuit. The purpose of the circuit is to flash an LED lamp such as is used as a brake light or even a turn-signal on a motorcycle in an eye-catching way to increase the conspicuity of the motorcycle. The circuitry is very simple: A 7805 5V linear voltage regulator, a PICAXE 08M microcontroller, a TIP31 NPN BJT power transistor to drive the LED lamp, and a few resistors and one capacitor. All the "work" is done by the program in the microcontroller. This video shows modulation pattern v1. The pattern can be changed by editing the control program using the PICAXE program editor. The 'v1' program occupies about 62 bytes out of the 08M's 256 bytes total memory. Theoretically, I could fit anywhere from 1 to 4 modulation patterns and use a switch or jumper wires to allow the user to select the desired modulation pattern. The circuit is easily modified to operate off of the license-plate lamp circuit. This would allow it to light the LED lamp at 20% or 30% brightness when the brake is not being applied (the behavior of automotive brake lamps) and still flash when the brake is applied.

www.cobalt-minor.co.uk Alternator repair and rebuild part 3 is some footage from the dvd that we film showing 3 different ypes being rebuilt. One lucas alternator, one Delco alternator and a Lucas dynamo rebuild. I show you how to change the alternator bearings brushes rotor commutator casings stator magnet the lot. You will that basically the only "special tool" rrequired is big enough soldering iron which you will need to replace the alternator rectifier and on some alternator the voltage regulator. The dynamo is easy except for a special spring clamp but thats not always needed. We show you how to check the rotor windings without special tools and also you see an accident I have with the hammer so you'll see what not to when you are repairing or rebuilding your rotary components. The wind turbine uses a stepper motor. It will make about 5 watts at 100 RPM and at 3000 RPM it is still making only 5 watts. I will have to redo the LED's inside. I will ether try to add a resistor to it or I will add a voltage regulator to keep the voltage under 14 volts. The battery is 150 amp-hour. This video shows the features of the PropSava 3 Phase SCR Power Optimisation System. The PropSava optimises incoming voltage to a property. Power Optimisation of a property produces the benefits of saving of electrical energy; increase in equipment stability and life; reduction in equipment maintenance costs; reduction of CO2 emissions and the ability to reduce carbon taxes. The PropSava is connected between the electric meter and the distribution/fuse board. There are two 3 Phase Power Optimisation Systems available from Vanguards Power - Computer Controlled Hybrid Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCR), from 10KVA to 600KVA (360V to 440V input voltage with 380C output voltage) and Electro-Servo with similar specifications.

This is a how to DIY video that will teach you to make a 5 volt flashlight Mod for the Joye 510 electronic cigarette. The mod I teach you how to make I call the "Detonator" iut is a consistant 5 volts. Every time you vape the 2 cr123a batteries give you exactly 5 volt because of the inline voltage regulator. Other e-cigarette mods deliver 6 volt or more then slowly drop off as you use the PV, every hit the batteries become weaker and weaker slowly giving a lesser satisfying hit during use. The Detonator operates consistantly at 5 volt for the entire life of the rechargable protected cr123a batteries. This Detonator in the video has a red LED lit when the power is On and a blinking green LED when the attomizer is being powered. I take you through the process of making a 5 volt Detonator step by step, so that you can make your own. For those that don't want to make there own I will make one for you- just contact me for details.
