This PIC-based project plays converted .MOD chiptunes. The circuit consists of a PIC18F2685 (chosen only for its large program memory--I could have just as easily used a smaller PIC and an external EEPROM), a DAC, and an LM386 linear op-amp. Also a voltage regulator (from 9V to 3V) and a couple capacitors. The .MOD converter GUI is a program I created in C++ using Qt. It loads in .MOD files, which have several tracks and can contain many "instrument" sound clips. In the .MOD playback, the instruments are repeated at different frequencies to allow some great flexibility. On the PIC, this is not feasible due to memory restrictions, so the PIC synthesizes different instruments using different waveforms (triangle, sawtooth, square, and white noise) with supporting data (volume, diminish, frequency, etc.). The converter GUI allows you to easily see and hear how each track will sound both before and after conversion. It generates .c files as its output, which are easily included in the PIC's project. Every time the circuit is powered on, the PIC pulls a random number seed from its internal EEPROM, generates a random number, and updates the seed. The random number is used to select a song to play from its internal memory. When the song plays to completion, the same process is used to randomly determine the next track. I am showing a method of using a CdS photoresistor to control a standard triac dimmer circuit that is wired to an electric drill motor (a universal motor). The CdS photoresistor is driven by an LED that is controlled by a PWM pin on an arduino microcontroller. This system provides a very easy way to control 120V AC devices with a single PWM pin, and not use any timing code or method to detect the zero-crossing of the AC power since this is done intrinsically in the circuit. It also offers true electrical isolation between the AC line voltage and microcontroller.

I tried using a packaged bridge rectifier out of an old PSU but it did not work very well becuase of the high frequency's involved with this driver. The UF4007's are fast recovery and can take up-to 1kV before they breakdown. This 700MB video took me 12 hours to upload! How to make an inductor for your HHO in this circuit .... buck converter...........it uses a very big inductor, the diode you see is just if the neg overloads with pos voltage......then the diode lets the pos go to the pos wire. this is a pos and neg inductor.....the speed that the pulses tune to.......there is no colapse, just constant amp draw. the inductor evens out the pulse. the pulse controls the amp flow. both coils are primary and the direction of pos and neg pulses are a natural flow of a magnetic field. this circuit is designed to control an amperage pulse.....to any amperage you wish. this is not meyers circuit. the diode is in the wrong place and voltage will drop with this circuit. but amperage is controled.....i chose 20 amps as a control, because it is easy to use from the car. so at 12 volts and 20 amps input.............output at the cell will be 3 volts and 80 amps.....roughly. hope this explains things www.docstoc.com

Solution to a very hard to diagnose issue on a 99 Honda Civic. The issue can be found on any car and here is the solution. Here are the facts to help you diagnose if the below is the same for you: Battery - good and tested by autoparts store Alternator - good and tested by autoparts store (outputs 14v when car is running) When testing amperage from + battery post to + battery cable, NO current draw is found. The mystery here is why the battery is draining. Since no relay/circuit is showing a draw, the draw is occuring from wiring not included in the large harness that powers all of the components inside your car, and in the engine bay. The only cable that hooks up avoiding this is the cable that the alternator uses to charge the battery. With car engine off, Test the battery's voltage after charging and disconnecting the cable coming from the alternator. You should have over 12v. Keep the meter on the battery, and then reconnect the cable from the alternator. If the voltage drops, and keeps dropping over a period of minutes, you have a bad alternator. Even though it may charge, it has an internal short and needs to be REPLACED. I hope this helps everyone figure out this mystery issue that can occur from time to time.
