Direct Paralleling, High Power Density LDO - Linear Technology
0 comments Posted by shopping-team at 6:45 PMwith Robert Dobkin, Vice President, Engineering and Chief Technical Officer video.linear.com The LT3080 is a new architecture for linear regulators. It provides better regulation, a simple output adjustment with a single resistor where the output can be adjusted down to zero. Also, this architecture allows easy paralleling of regulators for no heatsink operation in an all surfacemount applications. The LT3080 circuit operation and applications for paralleling, spreading the heat, general purpose power supplies and current sources will be shown.

www.AuroraGenerators.com New 2011 model Silent Diesel Generator AGI6500SDE - UL, ETL, EPA and built CSA Standard 22.2 No 100 - Electric Start with two remote controls. - Digital multi meter display shows voltage frequency and hour meter. - Engine cold start preheater - Automatic Voltage Regulator - User adjustable output - Spare FIlters Included - No smoke or bad smell - Includes 4 20 amp outlets and 1 240 volt 30 amp outlet. - Battery Included Many brands on the market are nothing more then cheap junk. They have absolutely no electrical approval or decent company to stand behind them. Aurora has been around longer them most generator companies and is known for the top level customer service and parts supply. Agreed it is not "SILENT" but industry wide when it is a heck of a lot quieter then the traditional generators so they call it "silent" The remote lets you turn it on and off from a distance and that makes it great for those in trailers for example who don't want to come out to operate it.

Bosch alternator rebuild from an 88 Volvo. Just replacing the voltage regulator, brushes, and both bearings, and the nylon bushing is usually all that needs to be done. So I show how to do that in this video. It just might save you some money some day. I will do another alternator rebuild with full details later on. Thanks for watching. SCOTTY B. (MUDDy)

HAM INTERNATIONAL JUMBO - PSU REGULATOR REPLACEMENT - TIP3055
0 comments Posted by shopping-team at 2:45 PMReplacing the PSU regulator in a Ham International JUMBO, like the COLT/MARKO EXCALIBUR's these radios PSU units were not really up to the job and as so many people like to turn up the power this only stresses the regulator transistor and causes it to fail. Replacing the original regulator with a TIP3055 is a big improvement on the original and gives plenty of current for those looking for a bit more output.

Part one of my off-the-grid-power-project. The 110 Defender is a fine vehicle with the space and ruggedness to easily cope with most terrain. It's interior and customisation allows for some great modifications. Living out of one is doable for a weekend away but living out of one with the comforts of home is tough but achieveable The Equipment you need will be: A Deep Cell Leisure / Marine Battery At least 8 Metres of wiring (5mm cross section + 1mm cross section). A switch to isolate both battery's when you're not using them. Additional Equipment I reccommend: Crimps, soldering iron and heat shrink insulation. Splitter / Accumulator Charger Voltage Regulator DC to AC Inverter LED Lighting System + Switches for it. Please Rate and Subscribe.

Phase 1 of G3020 Software Defined Radio. This small clip shows the +5V power supply in action after completing phase 1, not a very exciting phase of the build but a very important one, unless this stage is working properly non of the IC's on the board will get there proper +5 volts they need. The circuit uses the popular 7805 5 volt regulator to take 12+ volts down to around +5 volts for the IC's. When this phase is working correctly the green led should light and the voltage jk1 jumper test point should be around +5V

How to strip a technics 1200/1210 back to its face plate for painting or replacing. part 2
0 comments Posted by shopping-team at 6:45 AMThis is a video showing you how to strip a technics 1200/1210 back to its face plate. The reason for doing something like this is either to pain the face plate or to replace it, in either case stripping the turntable back to the face plate is required. Just as an experiment I phoned my local electronics repair shop to get a quote on how much he would charge to do this and he said 20 quid setup charge 40 quid to strip it and 60 quid to put it back together 120 QUID !!!!!!! Thats like 170 dollars I could buy a second hand turntable for that alternatively 85 quid to simply change the face plate thats like 120 dollars, so you are defiantly saving a bomb by doing this yourself. Its not massively difficult you just have to have your head screwed on and pay close attention to where all the bits went, if you think about it the main circuit board, the power circuit board, and the transformer are all joined so youre not going to put them back in the wrong place and you know where the tone arm goes and the pitch fader, and if you have ever switched on a technics turntable you will know where the power switch is, so you cant really go wrong. Information. When soldering on these turntables especially the older models leaded solder is normally used so keep your soldering tip clean after soldering, and mind your fingers because sometimes leaded solder can bubble and it spits and itll burn your fingers. This link is for more detail on removing the screws from the bottom of the turntable ...

Solid-state optoelectronic relay. Operational principleSolid-state optoelectronic relay is an electronic component used for switching electronic circuits. It provides electric insulation between check circuits, mostly between power circuits. All solid-state optoelectronic relays ensure a non-contact switching of load circuits due to the possibility of controlling its built-in semiconductor elements. This provides a number of advantages if compared with regular electromagnetic relays. So here is a design of solid-state relay. LED of input optical coupler acts as initial input element of an optical relay. Then there is also optical isolation, photovoltaic commutation, a switching circuit, and a protected output key. There is an LED in control circuit which transforms the flowing current into infrared radiation. Infrared light travels a certain distance in the casing, and falls onto the matrix of photogalvanic cells. Then it transforms light from the matrix into voltage which is used to control the element which locks the output key.If there is no current flow at the beginning of the circuit then there is no voltage and output key will open a commutation circuit.AC optorelay has a symistor at its output. It is peculiar in a way that the output key unlocks at a moment when switched circuit voltage goes through a zero. A bipolar or MOS transistor is used as output key in DC optorelays.A pair of source-connected MOS or IGBT transistors is used as a key in general-purpose relays ...

My SEGA Nomad Died! :( - Voltage Regulator Fix - How To Repair A Dead Console
0 comments Posted by shopping-team at 3:00 AMWell, all the power cycles from testing out my battery mod, LCD screen mod and general everyday use have taken their toll on my poor Sega Nomad :( . I suppose It's not really surprising given the consoles age and all the abuse it's received since the mid 90's. But!, there is hope! :). In this video I show how to bring a seemingly dead and unresponsive console back to life. All you need to do is fit a new voltage regulator which is a very cheap and reasonably easy part to replace. Original 2008 thread I found and got this information from (thanks to jb143).. www.digitpress.com Replacement part used, LM1117 Voltage Regulator 5V 800mA Actual value of device AMS1117 5.0 SOT-223 Bought from ebay seller, stores.ebay.co.uk I'll add some macro stills with info on solder points soon (if I forget remind me :P). Thanks for watching!

I volunteered as a medical equipment technician-- doing repairs on the medical equipment, taking inventory of all the equipment, and also doing a needs assessment. The broken GE X-ray was by far the most important repair-- a simple burnt light bulb was enough to make the X-ray machine unusable. The bulb was 24-V, and unavailable in Tanzania. This bulb is what I use for my desk lamp, and can be found anywhere in the US. So, my partner and I decided to connect two 12-V lightbulbs (which we found from a Tanzanian hardware store) in series. Voltage in series adds, allowing for the net of 24-V. Also, because the machine is American, the Tanzanain 220-V outlet was too much, and blew the machine (even though we used a voltage regulator!). We contacted a Tanzanian biomedical engineer (one of six in the entire nation), and obtained a higher resistance veristor. This replacement allowed for the machine to work and protect against any unstable surges. As soon as we repaired the machine, the radiologist used it to serve the long line of patients needing an X-ray.
