LM317T Voltage Regulator with Pass Transistor

In some previous experiments,I found that a voltage regulator can be used as an oscillator so I tried an unregulated 3v-12v wall adapter and ended up with a circuit that works and it can be used as an exciter in conjunction with a 10uH wire wound axial inductor.
