This Amplifier has lots of new parts and upgraded options installed. Including new Power capacitors and Transistors. All electrolytic caps on both audio boards were replaced with Nichicon Muse capacitors. New OPAMP IC's installed. New voltage regulator and signal diodes, Gold plated RCA sockets fitted along with new Speaker binding posts too. All parts were tested for more than 5% variation and any parts that had varied was replaced. We then completely rewired the DC Power and Audio output sections with silver-plated wire. The unit sounds fantastic and should be good for the next 30+ years.

Just a short project to fill some time. The LM317 voltage regulator used as an amplifier. The thing was horribly inefficient, running at about a half of an amp. Surprisingly, it took 32 volts with the heat sink and didn't burn up, so I took the heat sink of to see what would happen. I've estimated it was *trying* to dissipate about 14 watts!

The sound from camera is shit. But the amp sounds really good in person. Especially good for jazz-like songs. This is my first vacuum tube construction - not finished yet. I'll try to connect something better to this than pc. This is probably the first E130L tube amp on youtube! I use E130L (Teonex) as power tube, EF86 (Tesla) in preamp and SG4S (Lamina) in voltage regulator. RMS power 2x11W (power supply ~100W O_O) The project based on: www.jogis-roehrenbude.de (thanks!)

My Keppinger-design theremin power supply/amp working, playing music for its first time. Song is Traffic's "Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys." This was built completely from scratch by myself. The cool purple-glowing tube is a VR150/OD3 voltage regulator tube. I also built the mute switch.
