This is a first attempt at integrating my Stirling engine into my home-built coffee can gasifier cookstove. It's able to cook as usual but with the added benefit of getting power from the engine at the same time. The engine could drive a generator for charging cell phones and batteries, or to power the fan on the stove. I put together a little adjustable voltage regulator circuit and installed it in a tuna can so I can control the output from the generator. The circuit can take 7-32 volts input but puts out a filtered and regulated voltage useful for the fan speed control, a cell phone charger, LED lighting, or whatever. This whole system is quite inexpensive and could be very useful for a remote household. More to come!
