Giving an example of what the fuel pump should sound like. If you don't hear this before engine starting, then a broken fuel pump is likely the cause of your engine not starting up. Be sure to check the fuel pump relay and voltage to the fuel pump on ignition before. There should be no voltage before ignition. Upon ignition your voltmeter should read your battery voltage for a few seconds then back to no voltage unless you are starting the engine.
