LM317T Voltage Regulator with Pass Transistor

Looks like a typical kit cobra conversion from the late 80s. Large volt drop resistor instead of voltage regulator. Rather interestingly as it`s basic and looks like an older type kit from around 1990. I`m putting these radio on youtube to help others out and to gain more information about some of my radios I have never used for about 2 years...They were kept at my mums and I forgot all about them.Maybe the eproms might show a progression from early models to todays MKv version.
