This is the completed version of my talking binary clock. It uses an SP0256-017 speech processor for synthesis (with an SPR016-117 voice rom), an SL1287 (a DS1287 clone) for timekeeping, and a PIC16F877A as the main processor. Other chips on the board are an op-amp for the speaker and a DC voltage regulator. There is also an alarm and snooze function, and it plays some of the SP0256 melodies for the alarm. It's been built for about a year now, but I never got around to uploading the video. The original, breadboarded version can be seen here: www.youtube.com
